"...a highly experienced musician, tutor & multi-instrumentalist..." As a professional musician & multi-instrumentalist who has been performing live for almost fourteen years in various successful original & cover bands, I've gained experience in many musical fields. Including composing, performing, recording & producing music with The Sub Rosas, I have spent time with bands in rehearsal & recording studios using industry standard equipment & processes while serving more of an engineer & producer role. Acting as a session player for bands has encouraged me to become a more rounded musician, a more confident performer & a more tasteful & creative player, playing to compliment each individual song. This has led to being booked to play at some prestigious venues including Dingwalls (Camden, London), Fairfield Halls (Croydon, London), Old Trafford (Manchester, Lancashire) & The Trump Tower (Istanbul, Turkey).

About Wimbledon

Wimbledon is a district of southwest London, best known for its annual tennis tournament. Geographically, it is north of Sutton, east of Kingston upon Thames, south of Wandsworth, and west of Mitcham, 7 miles southwest of London's centre.

Wimbledon is home to the All England Lawn Tennis Championships, the oldest tennis championship in the world. The tournament, often referred to as simply Wimbledon, is held every summer. The district encompasses one of the largest areas of common land in London, Wimbledon Common. Other places of interest include the vast and gorgeous landscaped garden Cannizaro Park, Thai Buddhist temple Buddhapadipa, Polka Theatre for Children, Wimbledon Windmill Museum, Wimbledon Society Museum of Local History, and the Wandle Industrial Museum. The New Wimbledon Theatre is a Grade II listed Edwardian theatre on The Broadway.

Serving the area are several local buses radiating from the main bus station near Hartfield Rd on Sir Cyril Black Way. There are also buses that leave outside the Centre Court Shopping Mall in central Wimbledon. Next to the mall s Wimbledon station, the only London station that is a National Rail, London Underground, and Tramlink station at once. Outside the main entrance of the station is a taxi stand.

Wimbledon Music

On the last 16 days of November every year, the Wimbledon International Music Festival brings exceptional musicians together to perform in Wimbledon and South West London. The Festival was established in 2009 and has since become a platform for both well-established world-class performers and newly discovered artists to showcase their talent in singing, violin, wind and brass, guitar, cello, piano, and more.

Anthony Patrick James "Tony" McGuinness, better known as Tony McGuinness, is a British musician from Wimbledon. He is one third of English progressive trance group Above & Beyond. Also from Wimbledon is Marcus Mumford, an English-American singer, songwriter, musician, and producer. He is the lead vocalist of the band Mumford & Sons, and can play the guitar, drums, mandolin, ukelele, tambourine, triangle, and melodica. To catch some live music, head to The Grove in Kingston Road, or The Dog & Fox for live music every Saturday.
